Anchorage School District “Twitters”

The Anchorage School District has launched a Twitter account to help notify the public about school closures.  The account, located at twitter.com/asd_closures, will be updated in the event of a school-level or districtwide closure.  It will supplement the methods currently used by the district to send closure notifications, which include the www.asdk12.org Web site, e-mail subscription list, ASD voice mail, ASD-TV cable channel 14 and media notifications.
