Alan Fields, principal at Kenai Central High School, was named Alaska High School Principal of the Year by the Alaska Association of Secondary School Principals for his outstanding leadership in the areas of working collaboratively, curriculum, instruction, assessment and personalization. He’s now eligible for consideration as a candidate for the 2009-2010 MetLife/NASSP National Principal of the Year. In addition, Fields will attend a special Principal’s Institute for all state Principal of the Year winners to share their expertise among peers and national leaders in education.
