Continue reading Alaska criticized for lack of pre-school funding Anchorage superintendent Carol Comeau was in Washington, D.C. this week as part of a meeting of rural school district officials. She met with the education secretary and learned more details about Barack Obama’s stimulus money — especially the large chunk aimed at education. According to several news sources, Comeau would like to see Gov. Sarah Palin use the lion’s share of that education stimulus money to fund pre-school programs across the state. The Anchorage Daily News ran an editorial supporting that stance.
