The Juneau School District is considering a change in school start and end times during the 2009-2010 school year.
The purpose for the shift in the day schedule would be to respond to the science which clearly shows that adolescents perform better later in the day, to increase instruction time at the high school level, and to take advantage of the natural readiness of elementary students to learn early in the day.
