Education is more than reading, writing and ‘rithmetic.  It’s statistics.  It’s billions of dollars.  It’s thousands of pages of documents.  It’s complicated.

This site is designed to help Alaskans wade through their educational system. You’ll find news here.  You’ll find a wealth of statistics and documents ranging from graduation rates to proposed legislation.

Most of the information you’ll find here is available somewhere else on the web, but hopefully it will be presented in a more meaningful and user-friendly way here.

This site was created by Robinson Duffy, who for three years was the education reporter for the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner in Fairbanks, Alaska.  He won several awards for his work covering state and local education.

Both of Robinson’s parents are educators, so he grew up talking about education at the dinner table.

Currently, Robinson works for the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District as the communications coordinator.
